PED Eliminates “Excellence” Designation in School Accountability System https://nmeducation.org/ped-eliminates-excellence-designation-in-school-accountability-system/ Thu, 18 Jul 2024 23:00:00 +0000 https://nmeducation.org/?p=5796 The New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) reported a 76.7 percent graduation for the class of 2023. There was a significant difference between traditional school students and those whose high school career had a Career Technical Pathway, with those students seeing a 95.77 percent graduation rate. Three school districts in the state far exceeded the state average: Bernalillo Public Schools, Gadsden Independent Schools, and Bloomfield Public Schools.
